Objective:To investigate carotid artery intima-media thickness and its relative factors in peritonea dalysis patients, and summarize its clinical characteristics to provide evidence for facilitate the early diagnosis and given clinical intervention. Methods:To choose shanxi medical university first affiliated hospital of 60 patients with peritonea dalysis ultrasonic testing. To divided into two groups according to the CIMT value: normal CIMT group(CIMT < 1 mm) and thickening of the group(CIMT 1 mm or higher), and High-sensitivity C reactive Protein(hs- CRP), β2 microglobulin, serum total bilirubin and related clinical indicators. At last, using a variety of statistical methods to analyze the influence factors of CAPD patients with carotid artery intima-media thickness.Results:1. In study, The CIMT thickening rate of 53.33%, in CAPD patients. 2. Two groups of patients on dialysis compared in dialysis ages [8.00(5)months vs 10.00(1) months],serum total bilirubin [12.20(6) mmol/L vs 7.95(1) mmol/L], β 2-MG [(12.10 ± 2.25) mg/L vs(14.51 ± 1.98) mg/L] and hs-CRP [0.97(1.43) mg/L vs 2.40(1.51) mg/L], TC [(4.44 ±1.14) mmol/L vs(5.08 ± 0.97) mmol/L], TG [1.39(0.63) mmol/L vs 1.84(1.48) mmol/L],LDL- C [(2.36 ± 0.79) mmol/L vs(2.80 ± 0.84) mmol/L], the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). 3.CIMT of CAPD with hs-CRP, β2-MG, TC were positively correlated(r = 0.461, 0.644, 0.343, P < 0.05), and negatively correlated with serum totalbilirubin(r = 0.498, P < 0.05), the β2-MG correlation coefficient is the largest. 4. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that: the β 2-MG, hs-CRP, serum total bilirubin is the main influence factors of CIMT.Conclusions:Total serum bilirubin, β2 microglobulin, hs-CRP are associated with CIMT, in CAPD patients. To detection and intervention may help improve the prognosis of patients early.
