The health of the cardiovascular system is the important factor which affects the quality of human life. For a long time, biochemical detection, as a main method used to measure cardiac function condition, has shortcomings like high cost, difficult operation, and can bring pain to checked, and so on. A lot of studies have shown that the pulse signal can effectively reflect the characteristics of the cardiovascular system. Therefore, using the noninvasive pulse wave detection instead of conventional biochemical detection method to judge the health of the cardiovascular system, will have profound implications for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.This thesis mainly analyzed the relationship between BNP and the indexes of pulse wave. BNP is an important index which used to guide the diagnosis of heart failure. Calculating the parameters of pulse wave and using the pulse wave to assess heart failure condition, will have important reference significance to the clinical diagnosis.Based on the radial artery pulse wave analysis, this thesis obtained cardiovascular system parameters such as the K value, the cardiac output, peripheral resistance. This thesis used the Windkesel Model and simple formula to calculate the arterial compliance, and analyzed the consistency of the results of the two methods. In addition to the analysis of commonly used parameters of cardiovascular system, this thesis also analyzed the new methods of calculating the PTT and SEVR based on radial artery signal put forward in recent years. Moreover, this thesis analyzed the pulse waves in different contact pressure of sensors and found that the change trend of waves along the pressures were related to the age and cardiovascular health condition of people, the best pressure also can be obtained.By calculating the relationship of characteristic parameters and BNP of patients with heart failure, this thesis found that the statistical correlation between BNP and SEVR based on radial artery is-0.826 while the statistical correlation between BNP and PTT based on radial artery is -0.599.
