The Research Of Female Internal Alchemy In The Oing Dynasty

Internal alchemy theory is a special cultural essence of Taoism in China, in some sense, also a kind of life cultivation and practice system. Female alchemy, called "kun Jue"(the method used by female in the exercises of Taoism), the influence of which on the development of internal alchemy theory in Taoism can not be underestimated, is an important part of the theory. Female alchemy is the necessity of historical development and the sublimation of the internal alchemy theory to a certain extent.Based on the different physical genesis between two genders, women’s methods and procedures of internal alchemy practice are quite distinct from men’s.The main development period of internal alchemy theory is the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasty. In the Qing dynasty, Taoism declined but internal alchemy theory developed toward a deeper field. Meanwhile, the practice subject-the female Taoist becomes an indispensable special group in the history of Taoism in China in itself.Because of the low status of women in feudal society and the secret of the inheritance of female alchemy,the amount of research result in female alchemy is poor.The paper is designed to study the origin, development and important classics and analyze the main practice’s thoughts of female alchemy theory in detail by using historical data collection and literature review to further make the development course from the origin to Qing dynasty clear. Apart from analyzing the medical mechanism included in the practice’s thoughts of female alchemy theory and illustrating its medical value, it also states the historical influence and the modern significance of female alchemy in the Qing dynasty.
