Objective: ERP features of accumulation effect on cognitive function of elderly population in the normal and emotional qualities through the research on the long term negative emotion, emotion disorder of cognitive function in aging process. Methods: Using the clinical epidemiological investigation method of questionnaire survey and physical examination center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhengzhou City, a community of 400 45~65 years old in the elderly, using the Montreal cognitive assessment scale(Mo CA), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ)were selected from the adult version of the cognitive function of emotional stability and the mood is not normal the subjects were stable, fluid intelligence tests on two groups of subjects, biochemical tests and ERPs biological brain electric information acquisition. Comparative analysis of the following measures: fluid intelligence: the reaction speed, calculation efficiency, working memory, representation of space and figure memory; the nervendocrine levels: adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH), norepinephrine(NE), Glucocorticoid(GC); the levelof oxidative aging: 8-hydroxy deoxyuridine(8-OHd G), superoxide dismutase(SOD), lipidperoxidation(LPO); the electrophysiological characteristics of prospective memory task: reaction time and N1, P2, N300, prospective positive wave amplitude and latency. Results: 1. Compare to emotional stability group, fluid intelligence emotional instability subjects in terms of speed of response and mental arithmetic efficiency is obviously more slowly;2. Compare to emotional stability group, the mood is not stable groups of plasma NE content increased significantly;3. Compare to emotional stability group, emotional instability were the contents of 8-OHd G in urine and plasma LPO levels increased significantly;4. Compare to emotional stability group, the mood is not stable subjects reaction in the prospective memory task was significantly longer in the N1 components; longer latency, amplitude is bigger; the longer latency of P2 component; N300 component latencies longer. Conclusion: The fluid intelligence level and cognitive processing rate of old people in long-term emotion disorder(the type of emotion instability) will drop. For clues to the attention of the target search ability, the target is the possible reason to perceive at a slower pace, prompt long-term poor modern pathogenesis is dereliction of duty in an accelerated ageing process is one of the important causes of cognitive decline.
