Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Treating Stage Ⅳ Diabetic Nephropathy With Sanjiao Fenxiao Yin

Purpose: This study is to observe the influence of Sanjiao Fenxiao Yin on the TCM symptom score of the patients suffering from stage IV diabetic nephropathy with symptoms of dual deficiency of qi and yin and stagnation of water stasis and on the laboratory parameters, and to make an objective evaluation of the functional mechanism of Sanjiao Fenxiao Yin in treating stage IV Diabetic Nephropathy by combining evaluation approaches in modern medicine.Methods:60 cases of patients suffering from stage IV diabetic nephropathy with symptoms of dual deficiency of qi and yin and stagnation of water stasis were selected and divided randomly into test group and control group. Each group has 30 cases. The control group was given conventional treatment in medicine, including reducing blood glucose, lipid, blood pressure, and taking a low-protein diet, while the test group was given not only the above-mentioned Western conventional treatment but also Sanjiao Fenxiao Yin which was given one dose daily, and lasted for 8 weeks. The clinical symptoms, signs and the changes of laboratory parameters before and after treatment were observed, and the curative effects of the two groups were compared.Results: The total effective rate was 80% in the control group, while the rate was 50% in test group. There was a significant difference(P<0.05) between the two groups. The total effective rate of TCM syndrome was 80% in test group, and 56.6% in control group. There was also a significant difference(P<0.05) between the two groups. The indexes including 24 UPQ, FPG, HbA1 c, CHO, TG, Scr, BUN, Ccr and CRP showed no significant difference between the two groups before the treatment(P>0.05), but there was highly significant difference(P<0.01) between the test group before and after treatment. The above mentioned indexes showed significant difference after treatment(P<0.05). The security index showed no obvious change after treatment.Conclusion:Sanjiao Fenxiao Yin can significantly improve TCM syndromes, signs and symptoms of the patients’ in test group, reduce the urinary protein quantitation, improve glucose and lipid metabolism, lower serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen, and have effect of anti-inflammation, thus playing an important role in slowing the deterioration of renal function and improving the life quality of patients.
