Clinical Observation Of Qilongtongluo Decoction On Treating Both Qi And Yin Deficiency With Blood Stasis Syndrome Of Diabetic Nephropathy In â…¢

Objective This study aims to explore the therapeutic effect of Qi long Tongluo Decoction for the Diabetes nephropathy Ⅲ period of qi and Yin deficiency and blood stasis syndrome patients through the observation of the clinical effect-ts,TCM symptoms score and dverse drug reaction of Qilong Tongluo Decoction combined with routine treatment in the treatment for diabetic nephropathy Ⅲ period of qi and yin deficiency and blood stasis syndrome patients,and provide the basis of clinical curative effect and safety for traditional Chinese medicine in the treatmentof diabetic nephropathy Ⅲ period.Method 1)From the outpatient and hospitalized patientsin the Department of endocrinology of Hubei Provincial Hospital of TCM from December 2013 to December 2014,according to inclusion criteria, we selected 42 patients which were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The patients in control group were given routine treatment, while those in the experimental group were given Qilong Tongluo Decoction, in addition to the treatment of the controlgroup. We observed the integrated effect of the two groups, the scores of TCM symptom and the related safety index during the total course of 3 months.2) We mainly observed urinary albumin, 24 h urinary protein and the scores of TCM symptom, and we monitored fasting blood glucose(FPB), 2 hour post prandial blood glucose(2h PG), renal function(Cr, BUN), liver function(ALT, AST), electrocardiogram and other adverse reactions..Result 1)Comparison of the total effect of the patients from the two groups : after treatment,6 cases in the experimental group were markedly effective, 12 cases were effective, 3 cases were ineffective, and the total efficiency is 86.7%; while in the control group, 4 cases were markedly effective, 9 cases were effective, 7 cases were ineffective, and the total efficiency is 65%. So the experimental group is distinctly superior to the control group after treatment(P < 0.05).2)Comparison of the scores of TCM symptom : Both the two groups had a clinically significant improvement in symptoms after treatment(P<0.05),which was significantly better in the control group compared with the experimental group(P<0.05). 3)Comparison between the UAER of the two groups :after treatment, UAER of both two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.01), and which was significantly better in the control group compared with the observation group(P<0.01).4)Comparison between the 24 h UPQ of the two groups: after treatment, 24 h UPQ of both two groups were lower thanthose before treatment(P<0.01), and which was signifycantly better in the control group compared with the observation group(P<0.05).5) In this experiment, distinct abnormal changes were not found in any case before and after treatment ingeneral and routine check such as blood routine,urineroutine,liver function(ALT, AST),renal function(BUN,Cr),electroca rdiogram(ECG) and the detection results. During theexperiment, the subjects showed neither obvious symptoms, nor significant damage to liver and kidney function, alle rgic, hair loss, nausea, vomiting and other adverse re actions.Conclusion We found that the Qi Long Tongluo Decoction can improve diabetic nephropathy stage III deficiency of both qi and Yin with blood stasis patients with fatigue, thirsty,limb pain,numbness and other clinical symptoms through clinical observation. The decoction can reduce the urinary albumin and 24 h urinary protein quantitative of the patients with diabetic nephropathy, thus slowing the progression of diabetic nephropathy progression. So it can protect the renal function, and improve the patients’ quality of survival and life, and also provide clinical basis for the TCM treatment of diabetic nephropathy.
