Objective: This study based on randomized, controlled study, aims to observe safety and efficacy of treatment with acupuncture and TCM medicine for qi and yin deficiency NPDR, explore the treating principles and therapy, seek the safe and effective TCM treatment measures for non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Methods: ① 80 patients with qi and yin deficiency NPDR according randomized, controlled principle were divided into two groups. Treatment group used acupuncture and medicine therapy. The control group used medicine alone. ② Observe the patients before treatment, visual acuity, and fundus, fill in symptom score quantization tables. ③ Using SPSS statistical software for processing before and after treatment quantization table, draw their efficacy Have differences.Results:(1) Vision: Before treatment, two groups of vision classification comparison p = 0.218(p > 0.05), which shows no difference between the two groups of patients vision distribution, comparable. After treatment: two sets of vision scale to compare p = 0.012(p < 0.05), which show the difference distribution of two sets of vision, in terms of vision improvement, the treatment group is better than the control group.Between treatment group and control group, the respective groups matching t test p = 0.00(p < 0.05), which shows that the two groups was statistically difference before and after the treatment; In combination with clinical data, the treatment group and control group two groups of patients for treatment are effective.(2) The fundus: Before treatment, two groups of fundus integral is p = 0.588(p > 0.05), which shows no difference between the two groups of patients with fundus integral level, comparable. After treatment: two groups of fundus integral to compare p = 0.024(p < 0.05), which shows that two groups of patients with fundus, integral statistically significant in terms of improvements in fundus, the treatment group is better than the control group.Between treatment group and control group, the respective groups matching t test p = 0.00(p < 0.05), which shows that the two groups was statistically difference before and after the treatment; In combination with clinical data, the treatment group and control group two groups of patients for treatment are effective.(3)Eye symptoms overall curative effect: the rank and inspection Z =-2.697, p = 0.007(p < 0.05), with statistical significance. Treatment group total effectiveness 90.91%, control group total effectiveness 72.73%, shows that the two groups have significant differences in the curative effect after comparison, the treatment group is better than the control group.(4) The doctor of traditional Chinese medicine symptom integral: before treatment, two groups of traditional Chinese medicine symptom integral is p = 0.156(p > 0.05), which shows no obvious difference was found between two groups of patients with Chinese medicine symptom integral level, comparable. After treatment, two groups of TCM symptom classification is p = 0.001(p < 0.05), which indicated that two groups of patients with TCM symptoms integral was statistically difference, in the aspect of TCM symptoms improved, the treatment group is better than the control group.Between treatment group and control group, the respective groups matching t test p = 0.00(p < 0.05), which shows that the two groups was statistically difference before and after the treatment; In combination with clinical data, the treatment group and control group two groups of patients for treatment are effective.(5) The curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine: the rank and inspection Z =-4.360, p = 0.00(p < 0.05), with statistical significance. Treatment group total effectiveness 87.88%, control group total effectiveness 75.75%, shows that the two groups have significant differences in the curative effect after comparison, the treatment group is better than the control group. Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine treatment of qi and yin deficiency NPDR in terms of efficacy, the efficacy of disease symptoms, etc., than the simple application of traditional Chinese medicine. It can effectively prevent the progression of diabetic retinopathy.
