Further comparison between groups by t test, two types of scores were significantly different(P <0.05) in both groups, indicating that acupuncture and manipulation in terms of improving the score with functional exercise is better than with acupuncture and manipulation. 2. After two groups of patients overall effect, the rank-sum test analysis(P <0.05), explained therewas significant difference between the two groups overall effect, acupuncture andmanipulation with functional exercise significantly better than with acupuncture andmanipulation. Conclusion: Both conventional acupuncture and manipulation treatment and ther-apy combined with functional exercise for treatment of lumbar disc herniation had some clinical efficacy, but acupuncture and manipulation combined functional exercise therapy is more significant.
