The Ancient Literature Research Of Herb-participated Moxibustion On Umbilicus

Objective: We collected and sorted the ancient literature involving herb-participated moxibustion on umbilicus, in order to clarify the concept of this therapy and standardize the technical operation, and to analyse and summary the application of drugs, the production of flour circle, the application of scholar tree skin and ginger, the size of moxa, and number of moxa, to clear its indications and points for attention, and to provide theoretical and operational basis for clinical application, and further improve the clinical efficacy.Methods: We used Chinese medical for clues, combined with the manual retrieval, using “qi” ”zengqi” ”lianqi” ”wenqi” ”jiuqi” ”xunqi” as keywords, to retrieve the literature of herb-participated moxibustion on umbilicus, and then key in the terms and information meeting the requirements to Microsoft excel, and established database.Results: In this study, we collected 48 pieces of ancient literature, 25 prescriptions, involved 46 flavour, including musk, green salt, frankincense, myrrh, clove, five ling fat, two peak, pinellia, monkshood, bat dung, etc. The making size of the flour circle was about 3 cm inner diameter, about 2 cm depth. huai skin or ginger is generally placed between the moxa of drugs. The size of moxa is about bean or litchi, etc. The number of moxa is 14 zhuang, 50 zhuang, 100 zhuang, 360 zhuang, etc. The temperature is mainly based on the sense of patients and the reaction after moxibustion. The application is abdominal pain, chest pain, maliciousness typhoid, infertility, menstrual impassability, leucorrhea with red, impotence, spermatorrhea, gonorrhea, choking diaphragmatic, ballooning, cholera, stroke, etc. The taboo is getting away from wind, greasy, cold, debauchery, and after moxibustion nothing is appropriate but rice water.Conclusion: The concept: herb-participated moxibustion on umbilicus is a therapy that using drug fillng in umbilicus, fixing with flour circle, building with huai tree skin or ginger, putting moxa upon them, also known as the ”lianqi” ”wenqi” ”xunqi”. The method of operation process: with musk fulling in umbilical, buckwheat circling umbilical,medicine filling in the navel and covering tree skin, doing moxibustion to sweat out. The application of drugs: mainly using musk, leading other medicine into the insides, mainly using drugs with aromatic medicine and bitter herbs, wulingzhi, yemingsha, shufen, is the featuring three animal waste treatment. The judgment for moxibuston is mainly based on three aspects: internal micro silent, all great sweat, and shit the saliva. The indications included: stomach pain with cold, menstrual disorder, leucorrhea with red, infertility with cold other gynecological diseases, and impotence, spermatorrhea, gonorrhea and other man diseases, and the virtual best loss, yin deficiency disease, mental burnout, and cover-up typhoid fever, choking diaphragmatic, ballooning, stroke, yang taking off. The note: holding the degree of moxibustion, getting away from wind, greasy, cold, debauchery, and after moxibustion nothing is appropriate but rice water, eating white porridge, drinking rice wine, to promote the function of drugs.
