| BackgroundPCOS is a common disease in women of childbearing age whose endocrine abnormality. Symptoms include: anovulation,menstrual disorder.Traditional Chinese Medicine thinks that the basic pathogenesis of the PCOS mainly for spleen and kidney deficiency.Modern medicine think that this syndrome is involved with many factors like hypothalamus,ovarian and adrenal grand factors.More and more new opinions about the pathogenesis come out.With the quickening pace of modern society and increasing of people’s mental stress, while without good habit, the incidence of PCOS is constantly increasing.At present,the western medical treatment is mainly adopted by fertility drugs, hormone,and so on. It will get some effect in a short period, but it also bring many side effects of subsequent and may cause adverse reactions and easy to relapse after discontinuation. So long-time treatment may not be the ideal way. The advantage that application under the guidance of the overall concept of the treatment based on syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of PCOS is beyond doubt. Meanwhile acupuncture and moxibustion therapy has its own unique advantages, thus the use of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with Chinese medicine in treating PCOS get more and more doctors’ and patients’ recognition and acceptance.This clinical research investigate the uterus with acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine treatment for PCOS through rigorous scientific observation and research. Try to fundamentally relieve cause of PCOS and adjust the function as a whole to endocrine levels reach normal balance by this method. So that ovulatory function recovers and regular menstrual cycle establishes. Research method30 cases which are treated in Hubei TCM University affiliated outpatient and compatible with the inclusion criteria in patients with PCOS are selected. Married women are selected due to need to treat with vaginal ultrasound and they are randomly divided into acupuncture groups(treatment group) in 15 cases and Chinese medicine treatment group(control group) in 15 cases. This research used acupuncture uterus point combined with nourishing kidney and dredging liver to treat PCOS which is spleen and kidney deficiency,then compared with simple application of medicine for clear liver and nourish kidney. Patients in the treatment group after the menstruation acupuncture uterine cavity by vaginal ultrasound. Giving strong stimulus to seek to near ovarian location in each two weeks. And tied with nourishing kidney and dredging liver medicine,take a piece everyday,they should take it before breakfast and dinner. Stopped in menstruation, continue treatment for 10 times for a period of treatment,and the treatment should stay on until three courses are finished. The patients in the control group only start taking nourishing kidney and dredging liver medicine by Professor Qi Fengjun after menstruation, take a piece everyday,they should take it before breakfast and dinner. Continue treatment for 10 times for a period of treatment, and the treatment should stay on until three courses are finished. While the treatment plan is put into operation, the two groups of patients were asked to record daily temperature so that BBT rates of bipolar is counted. Before the treatment and after 3 courses of treatment, the change of TCM symptom,menstrual status(period,menstrual quantity, quality etc) is observed. Female sex hormones(including T, LH, FSH, LH/FSH ratio) and ultrasound examinations are also observed for the two groups after menstruation.The two groups are counted by using statistical software SPSS 17.0 to two groups of patients before or after treatment,TCM symptom,menstrual status,BBT, female sex hormone levels and ultrasound examinations,both groups in 3 courses of treatment was assessed as efficacy after the unification. ConsequenceNo matter change of TCM symptom,menstrual,BBT rates of bipolar disorder or sexual hormone level changes in the two groups and so on after treatment have significantly reduced(P<0.01). In the treatment group scores are lower than the control group,expect B-ultrasound examination,the control group showed no-significant. From the final effect, total effective rate was 86.67% in the treatment group, and the control group was 66.67%.In a conclusion, both the treatment group and the control group has therapeutic function. But the efficacy the treatment by combination of acupuncture and medicine is higher than pure Chinese medicine group, this suggests that acupuncture and moxibustion for treatment of this disease has certain advantages. ConclusionThe efficacy of acupuncture uterine cavity tie medicine treatment of PCOS which is kidney-asthenia and liver depression is higher than simple application of medicine for clear liver and nourish kidney. Acupuncture combining with medicine can more effective to recovery normal ovulation, establish normal menstrual cycle and reduce LH/FSH of ratio. This shows that the research method for treatment of PCOS which is kidney-asthenia and liver depression is effective and can implemented in clinical treatment. |
