Clinical Observation Of Electro-acupuncture Treatment Of Female Severe Functional Constipation Efficacy

Research purposes:Through the clinic trail to study self bowel movement (SBM);complete self bowel movement (CSBM); Pristol stool form scale typing;Defication difficult; objectively to evaluate the efficacy of electric acupuncture of female severe functional constipation and rule out Placebo effect.Research methods:59 female cases were randomly divided into two groups; 31cases in EA group,28 cases in sham acupuncture group;The EA group choose bilateral Tianshu, Fujie Shangjuxu for acupuncture.After abdominal points needle prick to the retroperitoneal wall,connected to Huatuo brand SDZ-V electro-acupuncture device for 30min,once a day,5 times per week for the first two weeks, and then once the other day,3 times/week, for 6 weeks;during Shangjuxu needle response,every 10min provided a mild uniform twisting,and repeat this procedure for 3 times.8 weeks of treatment were observed. and then 12 week follow up..Sham acupuncture group were select non-acupoints near the acu-point,perpendicularly puncture 0.3-0.5inch, no electric wire connected to the machine, but the outlook as usual,can’t recognize,frequency and treatment courses same as the EA group.Total courses CSBM 22 weeks include baseline period 2weeks, treat 8 weeks and 12 weeks follow up.The results:1 SBM frequency SBM number of groups from the start of treatment showed an upward trend. Between EA group at each time point were relatively highly significant difference (P <0.01); sham acupuncture group after 4 weeks showed no significant difference (P between each point> 0.05). Between the two groups from the second week of comparison were highly statistically significant difference (P<0.01).
