Objective:To investigate the value of18f-fluorodeokyglucose(18F-FDG) imaging by coincidence circuit SPECT/CT in the diagnosis of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures.Methods:21cases with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs) were analyzed retrospectively, MRI tomogram were performed to compare and ascertain the value of18F-FDG SPECT/CT in diagnosis of OVCFs.Result:In the21cases with OVCFs,34OVCFs were found by18F-FDG SPECT/CT, and32OVCFs were found by MRI, with a Kappa statistic of0.682(P<0.05), indicating essentially excellent agreement and the number of the vertebral body which were checked out was compared with chi-square test, there was not statistically significant difference between two kinds of test methods, and two methods of diagnosis efficiency were similarity.(P>0.05).18F-FDG SPECT/CT in the diagnosis of the sensitivity of fresh OVCFs:93.9%, speciality rate:80.0%, positive predictive value:96.9%, negative predictive value:66.7%. Conclusions:18F-FDG SPECT/CT was another good choice for the diagnosis of OVCFs, Especially for cases exist contraindication of MRI, it could offer a reliable proof to decision-maker. And can provide diagnostic diagnostic basis for the treatment of vertebral body fracture with percutaneous vertebroplasty.
