Cancer is one of the most serious and frequent diseases in the world, and heavilyjeopardizes people’s health. In recent years, it’s becoming the main direction of antitumormedicine research to find low toxicity and high efficacy antitumor compounds from the nature. The Yellow River Delta area has a number of unique salt-tolerance wild medicinal plants, andthe endophytic fungi of these plants form unique microbial resources due to their specialhabitat and living with medicinal plants. These microbes probably produce antitumor-activesubstances. In this paper,9strains of endophytic fungi were isolated from Suaeda salsa whichwere collected from the Yellow River Delta. We selected one strain of Eurotium rubrumwhich has richer secondary metabolites and studied its secondary metabolites and antitumoractivities.1. Research on the endophytic fungi of Suaeda salsa which collected from the YellowRiver Delta, and9strains were isolated, one strain which has richer secondary metaboliteswas identified as Eurotium rubrum by the ITS sequence analysis.2. Preliminary determination of growth rate of the strain Eurotium rubrum withdifferent concentrations of seawater culture medium to determine fermentation conditions.Twelve compounds were isolated from the secondary metabolites of the endophytic fungistrain by silica gel column and gel chromatography and HPLC. These compounds wereidentified by MS and NMR as Coniothyrinone A, Catenarin, Rubrocristin, Emodin,2-methyleurotinone, Eurotinone,2-O-methyl-9-dehydroxyeurotinone, Cryptoechinuline C,Echinulin, TardioxopiperazineA, Dihydroauroglaucin and Flavoglaucin.3. The obtained compounds were preliminary determined for antitumor activity by TopoI inhibition activity and zebra fish angiogenesis inhibition activity, and Coniothyrinone A haswell Topo I inhibition activity, TardioxopiperazineAand2-methyleurotinone have well zebra fish angiogenesis inhibition activity.
