Objective: By the degree of anxiety in patients with senile COPD anddyspnea index score and pulmonary function testing, elderly patients withCOPD anxiety level and degree of difficulty in breathing, the correlationbetween lung function and explore the role of psychological intervention onelderly patients with COPD difficulty breathing..Methods: Choose between April2013and March2013jilin university firsthospital after treatment with positive rescue in the plateau of COPD patients, atotal of56patients,25were male, female31cases, aged60-72,The56elderCOPD patients were grouped according to the mMRC and anxiety scores, andthe relationship between the two indexes or their relationships with lungfunction were assessed. Further,40patients with anxiety were divided intocontrol group and nursing intervention group with20cases in each group. Thecontrol group was treated with conventional drugs while the intervention groupwas given psychological care on this basis. Lung functions and mMRC scores inpatients before and after the intervention were also assessed.Results:1.According to the patients with COPD mMRC score we dividedthe patients into two points, three points and four groups, three groups ofpatients in pulmonary function (FEV1and FEV1/FVC) have no statistical difference (P>0.05), and anxiety score in3groups significantly less than4groups (P<0.05), while higher than group2(P<0.05).2. According to the situation of anxiety in the patients with no anxiety, wedivided the patients into mild anxiety, moderate anxiety and severe anxietygroup, four groups of patients with pulmonary function (FEV1and FEV1/FVC)have no statistical difference (P>0.05).3. mMRC score without anxiety and mild anxiety groups has no statisticaldifference (P>0.05), moderate group anxiety was lower than that in severeanxiety group (P<0.05), while higher than without anxiety and mild anxietygroup (P<0.05).4. We will with anxiety of40patients with COPD were randomly dividedinto two groups: control group and psychological intervention group, the twogroups in the treatment of pulmonary function (FEV1and FEV1/FVC) andmMRC score no statistical differences (P>0.05), the two groups after treatmentin patients with lung function were not significantly improved (P>0.05).5. After treatment, two groups of patients mMRC score were decreased(P<0.05), earlier psychological intervention group down more obviouscompared with the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Psychological intervention can improve lung function inpatients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, but can obviously relievethe patient’s respiratory difficulty.2. The reason that the intensity of dyspnea disproportionated the lung function was related to the anxiety extent of patients. The effective psychological cares helpto relieve the dyspnea and improve the life quality of patients.
