| Objective Under the guidance of syndrome differentiation theory of TCM, this research discusses the treatment of compound preparations-Jiangtangzengmin soup for the elderly(Pixushisheng syndrome) in type 2 diabetes with insulin resistance, and the compatibility of the research discusses characteristics and mechanism of pharmacological effects.Methods We select 65 elderly type 2 diabetes patients(Pixushisheng syndrome) with insulin resistance in the hospitalized patients, divided them into two groups: treatment group of 32 cases and control group of 33 cases. Treatment group and control group were given based specification diabetes treatment(medical nutrition diet, exercise, sugar monitoring and diabetes education). The control group is given oral western medicine. Treatment group at the same time of oral metformin add with the Chinese medicine-Jiangtangzengmin soup. In 4 weeks for a period of treatment, after 3 period of treatment, We determined with plasma glucose, fasting insulin, triglycerides, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, hemorrheology, c-reactive protein, insulin resistance index, insulin sensitive index, insulin beta cell function index, body mass index, and observe the change of the two groups symptoms and signs before and after treatment.Result After 3 courses of treatment, treatment group total effective rate was 86.67%, control group total effective rate was 66.67%. The treatment group patients with blood glucose, blood lipids and fasting insulin, c-reactive protein and hemorrheology indexes compared with before treatment were significantly improved, compared with before treatment result was extremely significant difference(P<0.01), and the curative effect is better than that of control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Treatment group after treatment in patients with insulin resistance index lower earlier, insulin sensitive index increased significantly, the comparison in the group has extremely significant difference(P<0.01), and the curative effect is better than that of control group(P<0.01); Treatment group after treatment in patients with pancreatic islet beta cell function index was significantly increased, the comparison in the group has an extremely significant difference(P<0.01), but between treatment and control group there is no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion Chinese medicine Jiangtangzengmin soup combined metformin can obviously improve the elderly with type 2 diabetes patients with insulin resistance(Pixu shisheng) glucolipid metabolism, blood viscosity and the inflammatory state, improve insulin sensitivity and improving insulin resistance state, and have curative effect. But they have no obvious advantage in improving islet beta cell function. |
