The Summary Of Professor Hou Shuwei’s Experience In The Acupuncture Treatment Of Stroke

Object: To summarize professor Hou Shuwei’s unique experience in treating stroke with acupuncture therapy,and to verify the advantage of his experienced selecting acupoint,which would offer a very efficient therapy treating with stroke in clinic,randomly compared with clinical routine selecting acupoint.Methods: All 50 patients with stroke were collected from the outpatient and ward of Acupuncture department and the ward of neurology department of First Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The patients of the treatment group were treated by tranquilizing, relaxing the bowels, diuretic action, macro-needling therapy, needling Yu Quan point, filling up the brain and manifests and needling routine selecting acupoint, while the patients of the control group were treated only by needling routine selecting acupoint. Neurologic impairment score, ADL(Activities of daily living score), salivate score were recorded and the therapeutic effect was evaluated before treatment and at 2nd, 6th treatment course.Results:1. The therapeutic effect of the two groups was statistically significant at all times of treatment(P<0.05).2. The overall therapeutic effect,the Neurologic impairment score and ADL of the treatment group were much better than that of the control group(P<0.01); The salivate score of the treatment group were better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The effect of Professor Hou Shuwei’s experience in treating stroke with acupuncture therapy was significant, compared with the control group(P<0. 05).
