A Meta-analysis About The Efficacy Of Shuxuetong Versus Xuesaitong In Remedying Acute Cerebral Infarction

Objective:Comparing the efficacy of shuxuetong and xuesaitong in patients with acute cerebral infarction by meta-analysis,in order to provide the basis of evidence-based medicine when choosing shuxuetong or xuesaitong injection in remedying acute cerebral infarction.Methods:Randomized controlled trials on shuxuetong or xuesaitong in the treatment of cerebral infarction were retrieved from the National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang database,Chinese Scientific Journals Database(VIP database),Cochrane Library,PubMed database.The quality of research was assessed by the Risk of bias table,we use RevMan 5.3 and Stata/SE 11.0 software for processing and analysis of data.Results:The study included 15 randomized controlled trails,involving a total of 1457 patients, with shuxuetong group 743, xuesaitong groups 714. The results of meta-analysis revealed that the difference of total effective rate(RR merge=1.21, 95%CI:1.12 to 1.30,P<0.00001) and improvement of the neurological deficit(WMD merge=5.50, 95%CI: 2.83 to 8.18,P<0.0001) between shuxuetong and xuesaitong injection were statistically significant.Shuxuetong injection was better than xuesaitong injection in improving the plasma fibrinogen(WMD merge=0.82, 95%CI:0.07 to 1.58,P=0.03);but low shear blood viscosity(WMD merge=1.60, 95%CI:-1.97 to 5.16,P=0.38),high shear blood viscosity(WMD merge=0.60, 95%CI:-0.06 to 1.26,P=0.07) and hematocrit(WMD merge=-0.00, 95%CI:-0.03 to 0.03,P=0.84) had no statistical significance. Thenumber of articles describing the adverse drug reaction was 2,most detailed description is not specific enough.Conclusion:Shuxuetong injections versus xuesaitong injections are more likely to increase overall efficiency,improve neurological deficits and hemorheology in treatment of acute cerebral infarction; As the description of including literature on adverse effects of the two drugs were inadequate,the possibility about detailed analysis of the adverse reactions is few; I should pay close attention to the randomized controlled clinical trials,which have rigorous design,multi-center study of a large sample and complete information, to update this review in the future.
