Obeject: To research the accuracy and practicability of the three-dimensional intellectual position(IP) real-time navigation used in ultrasound-guided biopsy.The biopsy was performed on the targets which were different diameter(6mm and 10mm), placed in the different depths(5cm and 10cm) in the tissue phantoms.The biopsy was performed by three methods which are IP guided,free-hand ultrasound and ultrasound with guide bracket.The time spent in per biopsy target,the length of the red dyed sample and the success rate of biopsy of the three methods were compared.Method: The tissue phantoms look like liver tissue on the ultrasound image.The red targets which are 6mm(90) and 15mm(31) in diameter,placed in the issue phantom on 5cm and 10 cm depths.The targets are high-echo on the ultrasound image.The biopsy was performed by three methods which are IP guided,free-hand ultrasound and ultrasound with guide bracket.Each method was performed once for 6mm target,but each target was performed once by per method for 15 mm target.The time spent in per biopsy target,the length of the red dyed sample and the success rate of biopsy of the three methods were recorded and comparison was made among them.Todiscuss the accuracy and practicability of the three-dimensional intellectual position(IP) real-time navigation used in ultrasound-guided biopsy.Results: 1.6mm target’s biopsy results In the 5cm depth and 10 cm depth,the median time took in biopsy guided by navigation(33.5s,50s) was longer than that of ultrasound-guide with bracket(20s,42s), but shorter than that of free-hand ultrasound-guide(44s,61s)(P<0.05).The median length of red dyed sample(4mm,3mm) and the success rate(93.3%,76.7%) of biopsy guided by navigation were a better than that of tree-hand ultrasound-guide(1.5mm,0.5mm;50.0%,33.3%) and ultrasound-guided with bracket(3mm,2mm;76.7%,56.7%)(P<0.001). 2.15 mm target’s biopsy results In the 5cm depth and 10 cm depth, the median time(22s,45s) took in biopsy guided by navigation guided was longer than that of ultrasound-guide with bracket(16s,34s),but shorter than that of free-hand ultrasound-guide(37s,54s)(P<0.05). The median length(11mm,7mm) of red dyed sample of biopsy guided by navigation was longer than that of tree-hand ultrasound-guide(7mm,3mm) and ultrasound-guided with bracket(9mm,5mm)(P<0.001).In the 5cm depth,there was no statistically difference between the methods of navigation guided(100.0%) and ultrasound-guided with bracket(96.8%) in success rate(P=1),but the success rate of biopsy guided by navigation were a better than that of tree-hand ultrasound-guide(83.9%)(P=0.024).Inthe 10 cm depth,the success rate(83.9%) of biopsy guided by navigation were better than that of free-hand ultrasound-guide(51.6%) and ultrasound-guided with bracket(64.5%)(P=0.025). 3.For the method of navigation guided biopsy, same depth of different size target biopsy results In 5cm and 10 cm depth,The median time(24s,45s) took in biopsy guided by navigation guided for 15 mm targets was shorter than 6mm targets(33.5s,50s)(P<0.05); There was no statistically difference between 15mm(100.0%,83.9%) and 6mm target(93.3%,76.7%) in success rate in the same depth(5cm depth P=0.238;10cm depth P=0.479). 4. For the method of navigation guided biopsy, different depth of same size target biopsy results 6mm and 15 mm targets,5cm depth,the median time(33.5s,24s) took are all shorter than 10 cm depth(24s,45s)(P<0.05). In 5cm depth,the median length(4mm,11mm) of red dyed sample and the success rate(93.9%,100.0%) are better than in 10 cm depth(3mm,7mm;76.7%,83.9%)(P<0.05).Conclusions: The three-dimensional intellectual position(IP) real-time navigation guided biopsy is saved shorter time,high accuracy and success rate.It’s better used for smaller and deeper targets.It has the very strong accuracy and practicability...
