Analysis Of Pituitary Hormone Variation Before And After The Surgery And The Influence Factors

ObjectiveTo clarify the pituitary function variation of pituitary adenoma patients before and after the surgery,and to analyze the factors influence pituitary function recovery.MethodsWe assessed the serum pituitary hormone level of27patients before the surgery and the first day, the first month, the third month and the sixth month after surgery, record the dosages of drug replacement and analyze the influence factors.ResultHormone level of before and after the surgery didn’t been detected any statistical difference(p>0.05). But the average of TSH,ACTH,IGF-1,E2,TES decreased in the first day post surgery and increased in the following months and PRL decreased post the surgery.16patients were found hypothyroidism and were given levo-thyroxine, drug dosages were decreased in25%of them.12patients were found corticotropin insufficiency and were given hydrocortisone, drug dosages were decreased in75%of them.4patients were found diabetes insipidus and were given desmopressin, drug dosages were decreased in75%of them; The average dosages of hydrocortisone and desmopressin decreased.. Multivariate analysis revealed that age, chronic complications, tumor invasive quality or type are not the influence factors. ConclusionSome pituitary hormone decreased in the first day post the surgery,increased in the following months and the drug dosages decreased.It measns hypopituitarism caused by surgery operoperation can partialy recover. Pituitary function recovery did not influenced by age, chronic complications, invasive quality or tumor type.
