The Analysis Of The Enhanced CT Feature And Pathology Of The Puimonary Sclerosing Pneumocytoma

Objective:The aim of this study was to prove the capability of accurate diagnosis of Pulmonary Sclerosing Hemangioma (PSH) by studying its CT manifestation.Methods:Data of23cases of PSH at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Medicine University from2010to2014were collected and reviewed, including clinical symptoms, CT and pathological findings..Results:All the tumors of the23cases were single,with their distribution in pulmonary lobes,9were found in the upper lobe,2in the middle lobe and12in the lower lobe. Underunenhanced CT, most of the tumors presented as round or oval shape dnodule or mas with soft tissue density.7cases showed lobulation.20tumors were even indensity, with5cases had intra-tumoral small amount of irregular calcifications.After contras tadministration, most of the tumors showed moderate-marked homogeneous enhancement.Of the18cases,heterogeneous enhancement was assesed in4cases and homogeneous enhancement in14cases,12cases showed miderate-marked enhancement, mild enhancement in3cases, no enhancement in1case.All tumors contained a mixture of papillary, solid, sclerotic, and hemorrhagic patterns.. Conclusions:1.Pulmonary Sclerosing Hemangioma (PSH) is common in middle-aged women, a majority of the instances is asymptomatic, found by routine chest X-ray examinations. the respiratory symptoms are nonspecific.2.General CT presentation of PSH is solitary pulmonary nodules or masses with soft-tissue density, clear boundary, homogeneous density.3.PSH imaging feature are related to its pathology,the characteristics CT findings are a welt vessel syndrome, moderate to marked enhancement and progressive enhancement.
