Objective:By analyzing the route course of the RTKA after firstPTKA failed and following up to visit the function of the joints afterRTKA, we can optimize our clinical work, decrease the incidence rateand increase the survival rate of artificial arthroplasty.Method:Researchers retrospectively studied the RTKA data of31patients of China-Japan union Hospital between Oct.2009Dec.2014, andsummarize the reason of failure PTKA. According to the interval timebetween PTKA and RTKA, we divided the patients into two groups:Early revision group (≤2years) and Late revision group (>2years).Statistical software SPSS12.0was utilized to do X2testing to examinethe failure reasons of two groups. P<o.oo5, and the result showedstatistical significance.Result:Average interval time between PTKA&RTKA of Earlyrevision group is8.38months (1.5-9months), the main reason is infection(48.39%), mobilization (19.35%) and stiffness (12.9%). Average intervaltime between PTKA&RTKA of Late revision group is71.7months(25-216months), the main reason is infection (19.35%), mobilization(9.68%). About41.93%patients (13/31) have two or more revisionreasons. At the time of the latest follow-up, two Arthrodeses were done, one dead. HSS average grade is75(63-88).Conclusion: The reasons leads to the failure of PTKA are interconnected and influenced each other. Clinical data of our hospitalshowed that, no matter in the early revision group or in the late revisiongroup, the main reason of RTKA after PTKA still is infection. Theconclusion reminder us that we need to take efforts to reduce infections. And, RTKA still is a effective operation plan if the PTKA is failed.
