OBJECTIVE:Discuss the impact of early enteral nutrition(EN)after pancreaticduodenectomy(PD)on the recovery of the alimentary after operation.METHODS:Retrospectively analyze the case data of127patients in China-JapanUnion Hospital of Jilin University from2006-2013.According to whethergiven EN early after surgery, the patients were divided in two category, which is EN group(82patients) and control group(45patients).Observethe impact of gender, age, EN or not, composition and dosage on theexhaust and defecation time, length of postoperative hospital stay andanalyze the data statistically.RESULTS:There are no apparent difference in EN group compared with genderand age(P>0.05).Compare exhaust and defecation time between ENgroup and control group, P<0.001, the difference was statisticallysignificant. Compare the length of postoperative hospital stay with thetwo groups, P=0.004, the difference was statistically significant. Conductcorrelation analysis between the time given EN and the time of exhaustand defecation time, P<0.001, the difference was statistically significant. This regression equation can be established. Conduct the correlation analysis between the time given EN and length of postoperative hospitalstay, P=0.001,the difference was statistically significant. This regressionequation can be established. Conduct the correlation analysis between thecomposition and dosage with the time of exhaust and defecation. Therewas no statistically significant difference.CONCLUSIONS:The impact of early enteral nutrition(EN)after pancreaticduodenectomy(PD)on the recovery of the alimentary after operation ispositive.
