Spinal cord is a part of nerve center of spinal animals, used for transmission and reflection the sensory impulses of limbs, body wall and internal organs, maintaining the movement function, and adjusting the person’s physiological reaction. In the real life, a variety of reasons, impact and extrusion for example, are likely to cause Transverse inertia spinal cord injuries. This kind of injuries may make the spinal cord under the damage plane dysfunctional, Which will cause severe physical disabilities. With the increasing rate of the spinal cord injury, the study of pharmacological effect and treatment effect has become more and more important. So making more standardized and abundant spinal cord models is the precondition of further study. According to the problem mentioned above, a spinal cord impact device is designed in this paper to realize the control of the mobile platform and the data analysis of the force to hit the spinal cord. The main research work and conclusions are as follows:Firstly, on the basis of The PLC and stepping motor control technology, the platform accurate location in3-direction is studied. The positioning accuracy of the stepping motor is greatly improved to0.0078125millimeter with the error limit of0.005millometer and able to find the reference point by using subdivision technology and absolute encoder, the information of the platform can be reflected on the touch screen at the meantime.Secondly, this paper makes research on the force measurement. Analyzing physical process to calculate the theoretical value of the force in order to choose an appropriate sensor, then design a hammer with sensor that can both hitting and measuring.Thirdly, design experiment to measure the maximum force and the impact time at different height. Collect and analysis the signals that output from the force sensor by the oscilloscope and get a conclusion:with the height improve, the force and the impact time are linear increased.Finally, take the points from the waveform to obtain a new curve which can reflect the general characteristics of the variation tendency between the force and the time. the curve and the equal force as standards to make different spinal cord models.All of the above conclusions give reference to the designing of the spinal cord impactor and the force calibration during the impact progress.
