The Clinical Research Of Diabetic Retinopathy Laser Photocoagulation Xieding Prescription On Diabetic Macular Edema

Objective:to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Diabetic Retinopathy laser photocoagulation xieding prescription combining laser photocoagulation treatment improve eye sight and provide the clinic evidence for Chinese traditional medicine on DME.Method:76patients with DME are chosen from department of ophthalmology in affiliated hospital of Chengdu university of TCM from2012June to2014January and randomly divided into treatment group and control group,38patients each group treatment group accepts Diabetic Retinopathy laser photocoagulation xieding prescription adding laser photocoagulation treatment and control group accepts laser photocoagulation treatment only.observe and compare the difference of baseline,eye sight,fundus examination and the macular OCT.take the comprehensive effect and effective rate of the decreasing of CMT for major evaluation index,explore the effectiveness of Diabetic Retinopathy laser photocoagulation xieding prescription treating DME and evaluate its safety after4weeks.analysis the data with SPSS19.0. statistical software.Result:1.76patients are chosen in the research totally, but6are defaulters, there are70participants actually,with35patients each groups.2.the results between two groups after treatment show that no statistically significant differences were observed in first week, second week, third week and fourth week.but the eye sight improve apparently after4weeks, statistically significant differences can be observed between before and after treatment (P<0.01～0.05)3.CMT of two groups decrease apparently after treatment, statistically significant differences were observed.(P<0.01～0.05).and both methods can reduce CMT and macular edema.the comparison of two groups indicates the effect of treatment group on reducing CMT is better than control group and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05).4. the result of OCT of two groups after treatment:significant effect rate of treatment group:68.57%, control group:45.71%, statistically significant differences were observed between two groups.(p<0.05) 5.the result of comprehensive asses evaluation of two groups show that significant effect rate of treatment group:22.86%, general effect:65.71%.control group significant effect rate is22.86%,general effect is51.43%. statistically significant differences were not observed between two groups.(p<0.05).Conclusion:Diabetic Retinopathy laser photocoagulation xieding prescription adding laser photocoagulation treatment is more effective in improving the eyesight of the patients with DME and reducing edema than laser photocoagulation treatment only in the research. it show the characteristics of TCM treatment on DME and overall effect to provide clinical evidence and idea for DME of TCM.
