Objective: To study the neonatal birth weight of Han in Urumqi, and screen out thefactors of neonata birth weight, in order to control the incidence of low birth weight andmacrosomia, and provide theoretical basis for improving the qualith of the population, andput forward intervention strategies and measures of neonatal birth weight. Methods: Themedical institutions of Urumqi is divided into three layers by the grade, one hospital isselected from each layer by randomized sampling, the pregnant women and theirnewborns in accordance with the standards were selected from the selected hospitals byrandomized sampling. We made face-to-face survey to the pregant women by aselt-designed questionnaire, and measured the birth weight, length and other indicators byinstruments. Establish a database and use SPSS17.0software for statistical analysis. Use ttest or F tes for quantitative data with the mean and standard deviation, use χ2test forcount data, and multiple linear regression analysis of factors affecting the neonatal birthweight.α=0.05Results:1.The basic situation of the newborn:1000cases of newborns,452cases of female infant, accounted for45.2%, male548cases, accounting for54.8%.Gestational age were mainly in the37-42weeks, the minimum is28weeks, the maximumis44weeks.46cases of premature infants, accounting for4.6%,892cases of full-terminfants, accounting for89.2%,62cases of overdue delivery, accounting for6.2%.Neonatal birth weight1.462kg-5.223kg, the average weight was (3.312±0.541)kg,35cases with low birth weight, accounting for3.5%,891cases with normal weight, accounting for89.1%, and74cases with macrosomia, accounting for7.4%.2.Factors ofnewborn on their birth weight:(1)452cases of female infants, the average birth weightwas (3.242±0.531)kg,548males, the mean birth weight was (3.361±0.524)kg. Using z test, the difference was significant(z=3.290, P=0.001), the average birth weight of male washigher than that of female infant.(2)The infants were divided into three types according to gestational age: preterm, term and postterm births. The difference was significant byanalysis of variance (F=12.635, P=0.023), the postterm birth weight was higher than thatof full-term and preterm infants(t=5.201,P=0.001), full-term infants birth weight washigher than that of preterm infants(t=3.245,P=0.032). The fetus weight begins to risefrom28weeks,31-37weeks showed a rapid rise in a straight line,38-39week rise slowly, the platform was state after40weeks.3.Maternal factors on neonatal birth weight:(1) Theaverage birth weight were (3.582±0.425)kg and(3.461±0.521)kg with motheroccupation administration and science and health, the birth weight was higher than thebirth weight with other occupation(F=5.241,P=0.002).(2) The average birth weight withdifferent family income was different, the birth weight is higher with higher familyincome than lower family income(F=5.132, P=0.001).(3) The average birth weight withmaternal pre pregnancy in normal weight and overweight was higher than that withmaternal pre pregnancy underweight(F=5.623,P=0.002).(4) The birth weight ofnewborns with lower weight gain during pregancy was lower than that with appropriateweight gain, the neonatal birth weight with too much weight gain was higher than withappropriate weight gain(F=3.564,P=0.007).(5) The newborn birth weight with motherdifferent diet during pregnancy was different, such as meat, milk and beans and itsproduct(sF=4.962,P=0.002;F=4.712,P=0.019;F=8.497,P=0.000).(6) The birth weightwith gestational diabetes pregnant women was higher than non-diabetic maternal newbornbirth weight(t=4.879,P=0.000).(7) The birth weight with less number maternalmovement during pregnancy was higher than that with more number maternal movement(F=3.879,P=0.025). Conclusions: The average newborn birth weight of Han in Urumqiis at normal level of our country, the incidence of lowe birth weight is lower than in pasttime, and the incidence of macrosomia is higher than in past time. Neonatal sex andgestational age were the main factors influencing the birth weight of newborns. Familyincome, maternal occupation, maternal pre pregnancy BMI and weight gain duringpregnancy, maternal diet during pregnancy, pregnancy diabetes during pregnancy, andexercise are the influencing factors of birth weight of newborns. Maternal diet duringpregnancy, adhere to the appropriate amount of exercise, maintain pregnancy weightincrease, avoid excessive weight gain, and actively carry out pregnant woman commondisease surveillance, the neonatal birth weight control in the normal range, reduce theneonatal low birth weight and incidence of macrosomia, in order to improve the quality ofthe population.
