Objective:A growing number of studies have shown that AQP4plays detrimental role in edema formation and development after intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH).This study investigates whether AQP4’ Dynamic are associated with Relative edema volume in intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH) in the3rd and7th day. Methods:We prospective studied50patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage in3rd and7th days from onset of symptoms. NIHSS score, GCS score, were measured. Serum AQP4was measured within3rd and7th day.Hematoma volumes, peripheral edema volumes and relative edema were measured at the same time from CT scan. Results:(1) Our experiments showed a significant increase of AQP4expression and Relative edema volume following ICH in7th day in contrast of3rd day. (2) The dynamic of AQP4and Relative edema volume are dependency, the correlation coefficient was0.555(P<0.01), it has statistically significant.(3) The expression level of AQP4around hematoma was positively correlated with the neurological deficit scores (P<0.05).Conclusions:AQP4may play a role in the development of hemorrhagic cerebral edema and injury after ICH. Alleviated the AQP4expression during the hemorrhagic cerebral edema and injury after ICH may be a new treatment target.
