The Discussion On Clinical Application Of Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty Using TM Cup And Wagner Femoral Stem

Objective To evaluate the clinical results of revision total hip arthroplasty using using Wanger Revision Hip Stem。Methods Twenty-six patients admitted to our hospital from August2008to September2014were included in this retrospective study. These patients received revision total hip replacements with Wanger Revision Hip Stem. The postoperative functional assessment was evaluated by Harris scale.There were12males and14females(average age,62.7years old,range,34to74years old). The time from revision tototal hip arthroplasty was2to16years(average,62.3months). The postoperative functional assessment was evaluated by Harris scale, Merle D’Aubigne scoring method and VAS score (visual analogue scale).Results Twenty-six cases were followed up1to61months,with an average of26months. All patients achieved healing of incision by first intention without deep venous thrombosis and nerve injury.At last follow-up,Harris score was87.85,Merle D’Aubigne score was15.46,VAS score was1.92.The clinical results were graded as being excellent in13patients, good in11and. fair in2according to Harris Score and Merle D’Aubigne classification. The excellent and good rate was92.31%. All patients were free from pain and satisfied with the operation. Radiolucent line of acetabular component and radiograph subsidence of stem were not found in any of the hip joints. No postoperative complications such as looseningand infection occurred.Conclusion The clinical results showed that revision total hip replacements with Wanger Revision Hip Stem had the good short-term result,and ory,and it can improve hip function and relieve the pain obviously. But the long-term effect s remain to be analyzed.
