Clinical Applicaion Analysis Of Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty Using Zweymuller Cementless Biconical Cup And SLR Stem System

Objective To evaluate the clinical results of revision total hip arthroplasty using Zweymuller Biconical cementless cup and SLR stem system.Methods Thirty-five patients admitted to our hospital from November2004to September2011were included in this retrospective study. These patients received revision total hip replacements with Zweymuller Biconical cementless cup and SLR stem system. The postoperative functional assessment was evaluated by Harris scale.Results All patients were available for follow-up with an average of31months (range3to61months). The clinical results were graded as being excellent in14patients, good in19and fair in3according to Harris Score classification. The excellent and good rate was91.7%. All patients were free from pain and satisfied with the operation. Radiolucent line of acetabular component and radiograph subsidence of stem were not found in any of the hip joints. No postoperative complications such as looseningand infection occurred. One patient suffered from Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).Conclusion The clinical results showed that revision total hip replacements with Zweymuller Biconical cementless cup and SLR stem system had advantages of simpleness and satisfactory curative effect.
