Objective This article’s object is to summarize and analyse the IgAN’s clinical and pathological characteristies and their relationship in children for helping the diagnosis and treatment of IgAN.Methods Retrospective analysis the clinical and pathological data of60children had undergone renal biopsy diagnosed as IgAN, from January1990to December2013in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. Results (1) There were44males and16females in the group, the ratio of males to female was2.75:1. Their ages vary from1~15years, median age at the disease onset was10years and1month.(2)41.67%of patients (25cases) had predisposing causes, especially respiratory infection (23cases,92.00%).(3) The most common Clinical manifestations were edema (46cases,76.67%) and macroscopic hematuria (30cases,50.00%). NS (36cases,60.00%) was the most common clinical type, followed by HP (14cases,23.33%) and AGN (4cases,6.67%).(4) Laboratory examinations:42.22%(19cases) of patients with elevated serum IgA and8.77%(5cases) with decreased circulating C3levels; urine red blood cell phase was common in glomerular hematuria (27cases,54.00%).(5) Pathological type was common in mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (34cases,56.67%), pathological classification were common in class Ⅲ (30cases,50.00%) and class Ⅱ (12cases,20.00%), The main type of immune-complex deposition was IgA+IgM (24cases,40.00%).(6) Related analysis:There was no significant distinction of pathological classification distribution in different clinical type. Conclusions The clinical manifestations and pathological lesion of the children with IgAN were various. Edema and hematuria was the most common seen clinical manifestations, respiratory infection was the common predisposing cause, clinical type was common in NS,pathological classification was common in class III. There was no corresponding relationship between the clinical manifestations and pathology.
