Objective: to evaluate heat spleen with wet method in active treatment the curativeeffect of ulcerative colitis (UC) and security, to reveal the advantages of the method inactive treatment of UC activity for TCM treatment of UC to provide the basis ofevidence-based medicine.Methods:1. Through the computer a second in retrieval and manual retrieval,collecting1994.012014.01been published at home and abroad researchers report in thespleen method in active treatment of ulcerative colitis, according to the inclusion criteriaand exclusion criteria set by the screening of related research literature, to select the group, clear heat spleen with wet method of traditional Chinese medicine to use western medicinetherapy for the experimental research into the study in the control group. On the qualityevaluation, and extract the information in detail, and analyze their medications. TheCochrane Review provided Manager4.2Meta analysis software, the comprehensivecurative effect, colonoscopy and recurrence rate were analyzed, and the map of forest, inspection sensitivity and publication bias.2. Through the discussion of typical basis inclinical analysis, clear heat spleen with wet method in the effectiveness of active clinicaltreatment of UC.Results:1. The participants included36piece of literature study, involving2641patients.2. Literature research methodology quality assessment is generally not high, among them1minute, there are5,2minutes and20article, nine article3points,4pointsof the two articles, no5,6,7points of the literature.3. The Meta analysis results showedthat been active spleen method to treat UC in clinical comprehensive efficacy, colonicmucosa hyperemia edema, mucosal ulcer healing and reduce the recurrence rate hasobvious advantages compared with western medicine therapy (P <0.05), compared withwestern medicine therapy on purulent blood and integral there was no statisticallysignificant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion: this study confirmed that the active heat spleen with wet method oftraditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of UC is superior to western medicinetherapy. Because this research into the quality of literature evaluation generally is not high, there is the possibility of publication bias, to the reliability of the results still need largesample, high quality confirmed by the clinical randomized trial, for the development oftraditional Chinese medicine to provide more theory and the practice foundation.
