Objective:To analyze the basic characteristics, control effect,and epidemic feature of measles in China during2005~2011, and provide basic scientific evidence for making the strategies of eliminating measles.Methods:The data of measles occurrence in2005~2011were collected with<Diseases Reporting information System>(DRS) in China, and collection of demographic and other basic information by <China Statistical Yearbook>. Rayleigh test with Excel2010and SPSS19.0statistical software based on the data of DRS. The distribution of population, ages and place of residence, China’s provinces measles epidemic characteristics and demographic characteristics of the cluster analysis.Results:The epidemic measles trend of China is declining trend during2005~2011, the number of reported incidence (rate) from max130585(9.94/100000) in2008down to min9667(0.72/100000) in2011, a decline of92.60%, but there are differences between provinces, maximum gap of annual reported incidence nearly600times(max of19.67/100000, mix of0.03/100000).The floating population proportion of measles cases increased year by year, increased from32.59%in2005to54.79%in2011, and most measles cases are the floating population in the province; In6years, cumulative proportion of floating population of measles cases more than40%in17provinces, Beijing, more than70%; In addition to Shanghai, the other provinces the incidence of floating population to the floating population in the province. Measles cases in each age group showed a downward trend during2005~2011;Accumulated constitute of≥15years o、5~14years and≤8months are more counted for a proportion, respectively29.28%,21.46%,16.78%;The proportion of under2years measles cases showed an increasing trend,<8months rise significantly; and2~14years measles cases showed declining trend,5~14yeas decline significantly; Age structure of incidence of measles are difference between provinces, Shanghai and other six eastern provinces’s proportion of≤8months and>15years incidence of measles more than60%; Henan and other seven provinces’s proportion of9~12months more than15%; Guangdong and other13provinces’s proportion of12months~4~year~old more than20%.Supplementary immunization effect of measles is obvious, but it is different, the provinces, that first time implementation of SAIs, largest decline was99.54%, least decline was73.38%, Median96.14%(P25=90.78%, P75=97.97%), the second time implementation of SAIs, largest decline was99.89%, least decline was16.67%, Median86.21%(P25=67.95%, P75=96.00%), the third time implementation of SAIs, largest decline was91.89%, but also the incidence has increased (Xinjiang and Tibet); Supplementary immunization of measles vaccine measles outbreaks continue to maintain a lower time inconsistency, the longest four years, the shortest0to1year.Conclusion:In China, The implementation of measles control and elimination of immunization strategy achieved significant results in recent years, epidemic levels and epidemic range of measles was significantly decreased, but there are differences between provinces. With the decline in the epidemic level of measles in China, the features of measles cases also has occurred changes, the overall trend:The incidence of measles gradually mainly of>15years people and≤8months infants, more and more obvious; Gradually mainly of the floating population’s measles. The implementation of the measles vaccine SIAs significantly reduce the incidence of measles in China, is effective measures to effectively control and eliminate measles. According to recent measles incidence level and characteristics, and the effect of SIAs,31provinces is roughly divided into five categories regions.
