Objective: A retrospective analysis of percutaneous vertebroplasty (Percutaneousvertebroplasty, PVP) in the application of spinal metastasis, clinical evaluation, and accessto relevant information, the summary of PVP combined with otherminimally invasivetreatment of spinal metastases, provides certain reference for the clinical treatment of.Methods: Using the visual analogue score (VAS) and JOA score on16cases ofpatients with spinal metastase to compare the degree of pain and quality of life ofpreoperative, postoperative24h,2days,1week,3months.To compared thevertebralanterior and middle height of preoperative and postoperative. Then the survey datastatistically analyzed, to evaluate percutaneous vertebroplasty in the application andclinical effect of spinal metastasis.Results:16patients with31vertebral operation all the successful implementation ofPVP treatment, without the occurrence of spinal cord, nerve injury and pulmonaryembolism,1patients with lumbar vertebral metastases in front ofleakage, but withoutneurological symptoms. It was showed by t-test that VAS and JOA score betweenpreoperative and postoperative had significant difference(P<0.05),but there were nostatistical significanse of the vertebralanterior and middle height(P>0.05).Conclusion:Percuta neous vertebroplasty (PVP) can relieve pain effectively, and canimprove the life quality of patients significantly, reconstruction of spinal stability, as atreatment for spinal metastases is safe and effective, minimally invasive method.
