Objective:bFGF expression changes observed in experimental ratparotid gland atrophy and regeneration processes in order to understandthe role of bFGF in the parotid gland atrophy and regeneration. Methods:Selection of84seven-week-old male Wistar rats,Dividedinto control group6(don’t do any processing),parotid duct ligation group42and led tube ligation recanalization group36,Through the right side ofrat parotid duct ligation and14days after the pass way in establishingtrauma and regeneration model,Get ligation1,3,5,7,14,28,60days andthen pass1,3,5,7,14,28days of the parotid gland specimens, conventionalHE staining, immune histochemical method in the detection of acinarcells and catheter bFGF and PCNA expressionResults:After ligation of main duct acinar atrophy, disappearance,bFGF and PCNA values increased,In the main duct ligation3days,bFGF reacheed a peak value and PCNA reacheed a peak value after5days,then the two were decreased and remained stable. After leading tuberecanalization, appeared around the catheter nascent acinar cells and14days returned to normal gland morphology. The difference of PCNA-positive and bFGF-positive numbers were statistically significantbetween the experimental group each other(P<0.01)and the reaction ofacinar cells compared to duct cells were significantly different at each point of the experimental group(P<0.01).Conclusion:Increased expression of the content of bFGF in glandularatrophy and regeneration process, bFGF and PCNA positive correlation,May be bFGF is involved in the conversion of parotid cells and value-added.
