| Objective To investigate the curative effect of small incisionnon-phacoemulsification combined with sclera bitingoperation which treats acute angle-closure glaucomaand age-related cataract which is in mature stage. Methods The surgery of small incision non-phacoemulsificationcataract extraction and intraocular lens implantationcombined with sclera biting operation has beenperformed on35eyes of35patients who were infectedwith acute angle-closure glaucoma and age-relatedcataract which is in mature stage. Then themeasurements were collected including uncorrectedvisual acuity, best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)andintraocular pressure(IOP)when seven days, one monthand three months after the surgery. Results After small incision non-phacoemulsification cataractextraction and intraocular lens implantation combinedwith scleral biting operation, uncorrected visual acuity, best corrected visual acuity and intraocular pressure arebetter than them before surgery. The mean intraocularpressure at postoperative1week,1month and3monthswere (16.91±3.20)mmHgã€ï¼ˆ14.43±3.23)mmHgã€ï¼ˆ13.71±2.69) mmHg,compared with that thepreoperative(35.23±12.33)mmHg,there was significantdifference(p﹤0.05).Compared between each two timepoints, there was statistical differences betweenpostoperative1week and1month,3months (all p﹤ 0.05),no difference between postoperative1month and3months(p>0.05).Conclusion Small incision non-phacoemulsification cataractextraction and intraocular lens implantation combinedwith sclera biting operation can effectively controlintraocular pressure and improve visual acuity. It is amature, safe and reliable treatment of patients who wereinfected with acute angle-closure glaucoma andage-related cataract which is in mature stage. |
