Objective To investigate the effects of auricular-plaster on lactation after cesarean section and to provide the scientific evidence for choosing a safe and effective method in clinic.Method A total of180women after cesarean were selected and randomly divided into two groups:90women in the control group were treated with analgesia pump after operation and90women in observation group were treated with auricular-plaster and analgesia pump. The initial time of colostrums and the first time of effective breastfeeding were observed; the prolactin concentration at48hour after operation, neonatal weight and frequency of neonatal urination within4days after operation were detected; the analgesic dosage at48hour after operation was recorded; the score about breastfeeding frequency, breast fullness and milk yield at24,48,72and96hours after operation were observed; the incisional pain score at6,12,24and48hours after operation were evaluated.Result1. There were no significant differences in maternal age, weight, gestational weeks, delivery times, surgeon, amount of intraoperative bleeding, neonatal sex, neonatal weight and caregiver between two groups(P>0.05).2.(1) There were significant differences in initial time of colostrum and the first time of effective breastfeeding between two groups(P<0.05).(2) There was no significant difference in prolactin concentration at48hour after operation between two groups(P>0.05).(3) The scores of lactation after operation had significant differences in time effect(P<0.05). At72and96hours after operation, the scores of lactation in observation group were higher than that in control group(P<0.05).(4) The neonatal weight within4days after operation had significant differences in time effect(P<0.05), except group effect(P>0.05). The frequency of neonatal urination within4days after operation had significant differences in time effect(P<0.05) and group effect(P<0.05). On the third and forth days after operation, frequency of neonatal urination in observation group were higher than that in control group(P<0.05).(5) The incisional pain scores at24,48,72and96hours after operation had significant differences in time effect(P<0.05), except group effect(P>0.05).(6) The analgesic dosage after postoperative48h in observation group was less than that in control group, there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Auricular-plaster not only can promote lactation after cesarean section safely and effectively, but also can reduce the dose of the analgesic drug. There’s no obvious adverse effect on lactation. It can be popularied in clinic.
