Because of the uneven development on urban and rural medical level and poor healthconsciousness of early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment in China, a majority ofpatients fail to detect the disease at its early stage, resulting in delays in early diagnosis,seriously affecting cure rate. With the development of cancer treatment, people pay more andmore attention on the health concept combing early detection with prevention. Therefore,carry out early breast cancer risk assessment actively, improve early detection rate andprovide favorable conditions for comprehensive diagnosis and treatment to promote long-termefficacy, all of which have great significance on patients.At present, commonly used detection means for breast cancer are: breast X-rayphotography, ultrasonic examination and magnetic resonance imaging, etc. but there detectionmeans are either expensive or having side effects on human body. So they are not suitable forearly detection of breast cancer on a large scale. Regarding this, it’s urgent to find a method toaccurately assess the risk of breast cancer, to detect the disease as soon as possible and torecommend patients for early screening or biopsy. In recent years, electrical impedancetechnique has been widely used in early breast cancer detection. Based on the biologicalproperty that electric property of malignant tumor tissue is different from normal tissue andREIS-based new detecting technique’s characteristics of non-imaging, no radiation, low cost,ease of operation and smaller amount of calculation, it can meet the needs of early breastcancer risk assessment.This paper targets at early breast cancer risk assessment, summarize advantages anddisadvantages of existing breast cancer detection methods, discuss research status of electricimpedance technique both at home and abroad, and then point out difficulties confronted ofeach techniques. By analyzing the relationships among tissue lesions, breast tissue andequivalent circuit model, this paper has designed a set of hardware system covering signalsource, voltage detection, master control and other core modules based on REIS detectiontechnique principle. Meanwhile, it matches with control and data acquisition function ofhardware system, achieving corresponding design of software control management systemwith serial port communication technology and database technology. Finally, it conductsproductization packaging on software and hardware system and provides a perfectexperimental platform for early breast cancer risk assessment.This paper makes use of equivalent circuit model data of breast tissue acquired by system and assesses stability and reliability of the system by analyzing repeatability ofresonance frequency points and similarity of resonance frequency curves, so as to verifytheoretical feasibility of breast cancer REIS detection. Then, it processes and analyzes thedata acquired in Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM with this system by adoptingsmoothing and other signal processing methods. Results show that this system can achieveearly breast cancer risk assessment and the assessment results can be as clinical reference.This paper, by studying and grasping the characteristics of female breast REIS data curves inChina, on the one hand, fills the gaps in our research on female breast REIS detection and onthe other hand, lays a foundation for breast REIS detection technique’s clinical application inChina, which will be of great importance in future large-scale screening of breast cancer.
