Objective: The purpose of thoracic surgery patients due to surgical trauma,complications, higher costs, resulting in poor patients’ compliance behavior, lowsatisfaction, medical malpractice and more. So how to implement health education,change patients’ compliance behavior to reduce the incidence of postoperativecomplications, improve patients’ satisfaction, reduce medical disputes is particularlyimportant. This study aims to nursing health education theory, the use of evidence-basedapproach to develop thoracic surgery perioperative health education path-related content,and use computer technology and the type of surgery based on the characteristics of thedifferent stages of Thoracic Surgery, perioperative, and establish a picture of Lord,supplemented by a small amount of prescription health education text for thoracicsurgery patients to develop individualized health education prescriptions, so easilyaccepted by patients, improve compliance, while improving the efficiency of themedical staff of health education work.Methods: During April2012-April2013period, NO. Four People’s Hospital,Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, Cardiothoracic Surgery forth selective thoracic surgery120patients for the study, male90cases, female30cases, aged34to76years old. Theselected patients were randomly divided into two groups, namely, the test group of60patients and the control group of60cases. Baseline assessment and analysis by twogroups of patients in the basic situation of the differences of age, sex, occupation, etc.was not statistically significant (P <0.05). Two groups carried out health educationmeasures in different forms of the past, the control group implements the routine healtheducation methods (no time limit, free health education) by nurses, the test groupcarried out the health education in accordance with the health education path, ie fromthe date of admission, the responsible nurses are responsible for the content of healtheducation in accordance with the path to guide patients to acquire the relevant knowledge and skills of the disease, and according to the needs of patients, giveprescriptions on health education for each stage, playing a "√" in front of thecorresponding project and indicate execution time and executor, the nurse in charge ofthe implementation of the inspection route, giving the appropriate guidance whennecessary.Results:1、 Psycho-condition comparison: The difference of psychological anxiety in thepatients enforcing health education has no statistical significance(P>0.05). Educated inaccordance with the health education path, the SAS evaluation of the test group issignificantly lower than that of the control group, the difference is of statisticalsignificance(P <0.05). The result indicates that educating in accordance with healtheducation can improve the patients’ psychological level, and is an effective measure intreating anxiety.2、 Mastery of relevant knowledge on health education: Educated through healtheducation path together with health education prescription, the test group has a bettermastery of knowledge on pre-operation breathing exercise, post-operation tube caring,breathing tube caring and function exercise than the control group, the difference is ofstatistical significance(P <0.05).3、 Acknowledgement on nursing: The patients in test group educated throughhealth education path together with health education prescription are more satisfied withthe nursing work, the difference is of statistical significance(P <0.05).Conclusion: Thoracic surgery perioperative patient health education path,according to the needs of the various stages of health education for patients issuedprescriptions illustrations, improved perioperative patient-related health knowledgeawareness, patient adherence to care and patient satisfaction, making health education amultiplier effect, thus further deepening the quality care connotation, fully embodies thehumane care of modern nursing.
