Study On The Current Status Of Illegal Practice Of Medicine Attacking And Its Administration Strategies In Suzhou

Aim: By surveying on the current status of illegal practice of medicine (IPM) inSuzhou, the aims of present study are to analyze the causes and affecting factors of IPMemerging, understand the status of unlicensed medical population, determine the specialpopulations and important areas for IPM existing, improve the effectiveness andnecessity of IPM attacking, compress the IPM living space and purify the medicalservice market. Based on these investigations, the present studies will further providethe evidence for the establishment and improvement of administration strategies forIPM long-term management by exploring the new model of IPM attacking.Methods: The operation status of linkage mechanism among unlicensed medicalpersons, health supervision workers, IPM attacking actions were investigated by usingquestionnaires, field interviews and archival records. The punishment status of IPMcases and the information of unlicensed medical suspected crime cases were analyzedby retrospective study. All of the data were extracted from the related data files.Results and suggestions: The multiple reasons for the IPM emerging and thediversity ways of IPM existing resulted in its serious harmful to society and highlydifficult to manage. Thus, the government should further develop the supervision ofmedical service market and IPM attacking, establish the multiple supervision systemsconform to the situation of country, strengthen the ability of primary care institution andhealth institutions, deepen-reform the medical insurance system, better the nationalhealth care system, establish and improve the multiple supervision laws, rules, statues,standards and regulations system for medical service market and IPM managment.
