In order to investigate the drug resistance of Escherichia coli isolates collected from pig farm, sheepfarm and cattle farm to commonly used antibiotics about β-lactam type and aminoglycoside in Xinjiang.Minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of the antibiotics to these isolates were determined by the brothmicro-dilution method. Results showed:⑴Isolation rate from pig was83.6%(456/543), five kinds ofantibiotics resistance rates from high to low as follows: ampicillin67.0%, amoxicillin/clavulanic acid63.7%, apramycin35.7%, amikacin19.8%, ceftiofur10.4%; the resistant to multi-drug resistance was1-4,accounting for83.3%.⑵Isolation rate from sheep was81.8%(638/780), five kinds of antibiotics resistancerates from high to low as follows: Apramycin33.9%, amoxicillin/clavulanic acid21.2%, amikacin15.5%,ampicillin14.1%, ceftiofur8.8%; the resistant to multi-drug resistance was1-3, accounting for62.5%.⑶Isolation rate from cattle was98.9%(89/90), six kinds of antibiotics resistance rates from high tolow as follows: ampicillin24.4%, amoxicillin/clavulanic acid8.9%, ceftiofur6.7%, gentamicin4.4%,amikacin2.2%, apramycin1.1%; the resistant to multi-drug resistance was1-2, accounting for31.1%.We investigated the prevalence and characterized β-lactamase, PMQR determinents and/or16S rRNAmethylase genes by PCR in β-lactam-resitance Escherichia coli isolates from pig farm (203isolates),sheepfarm (168isolates) and cattle farm (32isolates). The co-harboring of different kinds of genes were presentin isolates from different animals. The result showed:⑴in the pig fram, theblaTEM(40.89%,83/203) andblaCTX-M(0.99%,2/203) genes were mainly β-lactamase genes, the detected PMQR determinants were theqnrS (2.47%,5/203) and aac(6’)-Ib-cr (2.47%,5/203) genes, the detected16S rRNA methylase genes werermtB gene (0.99%,1/203), and two isolates were found to possess the blaTEMand rmtB genes in the sametime, two isolates were found to possess the blaTEMand qnrS genes in the same time, two isolate was foundto possess the blaTEMand aac(6’)-Ib-cr genes in the same time.⑵in the sheep fram, theblaTEM(42.26%,71/168) and blaCTX-M(2.98%,5/168) genes were mainly β-lactamase genes, the detected PMQRdeterminants were the qnrS (2.38%,4/168), aac(6’)-Ib-cr (16.07%,27/168) and qepA (0.60%,1/168) genes, the detected16S rRNA methylase genes were rmtB gene (4.17%,7/168), seven isolates were found topossess the blaTEMand rmtB genes in the same time, three isolates were found to possess the blaTEMandblaCTX-Mgenes in the same time, three isolates were found to possess the blaTEMand qnrS gene in the sametime, twelve isolates were found to possess the blaTEMand aac(6’)-Ib-cr gene in the same time, only oneisolate was found to possess the blaTEM, aac(6’)-Ib-cr and qepA genes in the same time.⑶in the cattle fram, the blaTEM(15.63%,5/32) gene was mainly β-lactamase genes, the detected PMQR determinants were theqnrS (3.13%,1/32) and aac(6’)-Ib-cr (3.13%,1/32) genes, the detected16S rRNA methylase genes wasrmtB gene (50.00%,16/32), and four isolates were found to possess the blaTEMand rmtB genes in the sametime, only one isolate was found have the blaTEM, rmtB, qnrS and aac(6’)-Ib-cr genes in the same time.Escherichia coli isolates from different animal farms are different degrees of resistance to antibiotics.Resistance of Escherichia coli isolates to commonly used antibiotics was serious in the pig farm, andfollowed by sheep farm, cattle farm most sensitive. Exist-lactamase genes mediated bacterial resistance, and are dominated by blaTEMgene in Xinjiang. In addition, different types of drug-resistant genes coexist inthe same one.
