Purpose: According to the summarization and reoganization of articles aboutassociation of kidney and orifices from “Huangdi Neijing”, combined later andnon-medicinal literature,this thesis aimed to discuss and further explore thephysiological and pathological connection of kidney and various orifices, toprovide reliable theoretical bases for treating orifice-related diseases inclinic.Content: By combnation of summarizing literature and theoretical research,firstly, combing articles about correlation of kidney and orifices in “NeiJing”,analyzing and reorganizing physiological association of kidney andorifices; Then, collecting and sorting out articles about pathological changesof orifices and kidney; Summarizing etiology and pathogenesis of orificediseases due to dysfunction of kidney;Thirdly, analyzing the related theory ofkidney and orifices in medicinal and non-medicinal literature after “Nei Jing”,to further summarize etiology and pathogenesis, as well as treating method fromkidney and provide valuable literary materials for studying orifice disorders.Conclusion：Through overall reorganization of relation between kidney and orifices from“Huangdi Neijing”, the thesis discussed their physiological and pathologicalrecognition.Also talked its values by combining with reccords of laterphysicians, conclusions are as follow: 1.Although there is clear representation of kidney opening into ears and twoorifices in “Neijing”, still kidney possesses close relation to nose, eyes,mouth and tongue.2.According to “Neijing”, connection of kidney and orifices is based on theoryof kidney storing essence. The essential-qi stored in kidney can nourish humanorifices in order to facilitate their normal physiological function. Whileinsufficient essential-qi will lead to orifice-related diseases due to loss ofnourishment.3.According to “Neijing”, kidney deficiency can lead to various orificedisorders, such as tinnitus, deafness, enuresis, dysuria,emission, impotence,constipation, diarrhea, clear nasal discharge, nasosinusitis, aphasia andparalysis.Occurrence of above diseases have close relation with kidneydeficiency. Insufficiency of kidney essence is the major pathogenesis, otherslike deficiency of kidney qi,kidney yin and kidney yang are also included.4.Later practitioners constantly explored the treating principle and medicationof orifice diseases due to kidney essence deficiency based on “Neijing” whichenriched the methods of treating disorders, such as tinnitus, deafness, enuresis,dysuria,emission, impotence, hernia, constipation, diarrhea, blindness, doublevision, clear nasal discharge, nasosinusitis, aphasia and paralysis kidney.
