Objective:In order to study the antibacterial property and biological evaluation of the antibacterial coating endotracheal tube (ETT) with silver-doped titania.Methods:We selected common pathogens in respiratory (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli) to carry out antibacterial ability test of the antibacterial coating ETT with silver-doped titania by Plate count method.In order to ensure biological safet of the antibacterial coating ETT with silver-doped titania,we selected oral irritation test and cytotoxicity test in vitro on the basis of GB/T16886.1-2001.Results:The antibacterial ability test:the1%group、1.5%group、2%group、5%group could inhibited three kinds of bacteria,the inhibitory rate was above94.6%;Inhibitory effect of the0.8%groups were obvious on three kinds of bacteria, but The inhibitory rate was lower than1%groups (p<0.001).and The inhibitory rate was higher than0.6%groups (p<0.001);0.6%,0.2%and conventional catheter groups had no obvious inhibition on P.aeruginosa and Escherichia col (p>0.0) and had obvious inhibition on Staphylococcus aureus (p<0.05).Cytotoxicity test in vitro:the cell morphology of test ductal group were normal,0points, no cell toxicity, the relative growth rate of cell (RGR) values of three groups of test catheter group were high, There was no significant difference with the negative control group(p<0.05), the RGR values of50%、25%groups were higher than the negative control group,were110.74%、104.42%,25%group was the lowest,was98.99%. Oral irritation test:the left cheek pouch of golden hamster in test catheter group have not erythema and eschar,and epithelial integrity, no leukocyte infiltration,0point, no stimulation.Conclusions:1、We make clear that the antibacterial coating ETT have Significant antibacterial property,the optimum concentration of silver-doped titania was1%.2、The oral mucous irritation test and cytotoxicity test In vitro of the antibacterial coating ETT with1%silver-doped titania were negative,and meeted the medical biological evaluation standard.3、The antibacterial coating ETT with1%Silver-doped titania could be studied as candidate catheter before clinic.
