| ObjectiveTo investigate the application of surgical navigation system in oral and maxillofacial surgery.Methods12patients in The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University applied with BrainLAB surgical navigation system were taken from2013.8to2014.2,7cases were maxillary tumors, including5ameloblastoma,1osteochondroma,1osteoma, other5cases were foreign body. All patients accepted preoperative thin-section CT scan, all the data was saved in DICOM format and imported into BrainLAB iPlan software system, and designed preoperative plan with it. In operation, we accomplish the operation according to the preoperative plan with the assistance of surgical navigation system. All patients received postoperative3D-CT scan to confirm the surgical results. Follow-up was recommended in the1st and3rd month, for recording the situation of incision, the appearance and the function conditions. ResultAll operations were finished according to the preoperative plan uneventfully. All patients showed good postoperative contour with none obvious complications and none function abnormal were observed.ConclusionWith the application of surgical navigation system, the surgical plan can be designed more exhaustive and more intuitive, the surgery becomes safer and can improve the surgical precision and success rate. |
