Orthopedic surgery is one of common clinical surgeries in surgical department. In recent years, realistic models with complex bone structure which are manufactured by rapid prototyping help doctors with preoperative surgical planning and reproducing the spatial structure of the surgical object as the development of rapid prototyping technology. Technology of preparation of prototype with mechanical behavior of skeletal based on SLS (selective laser sintering) is researched in this study, which have important meaning on helping doctors with surgery planning assistance in the future.1. The biomechanical properties of bone, the main types of orthopedic surgery and the applications of rapid prototyping technology in medical are introduced. The main researching methods and content of technology of preparation of prototype with mechanical behavior of skeletal based on SLS are obtained through analysis.2. Mechanical procedures and mechanisms involved in orthopedic surgery are analyzed, and elastic modulus is determined as the mechanical parameters for the thesis through the analysis of mechanical properties of model and bone. The bone of mandible is selected as the object of study through the conclusion of temperature field analysis, and mechanical distribution properties of the bone of mandible is analyzed with mimics. Densities and elastic modulus of sintered samples under different process parameters are tested.3. Model sintering plan is determined according to the mechanical distribution properties of the bone of mandible and verified through experiment. Densities and elastic modulus of sintered samples under different process parameters are tested and the mathematical model of the relation between densities and elastic modulus is established.4. Researching content of Mechanical mechanisms of model is determined by analysis of orthopedic surgery process, Model which have the same mechanical behavior as skeletal sintering plan is proposed and verified. Elastic modulus of sintered samples under different densities are tested and the mathematical model of the relation between densities and elastic modulus is established. The object of preparing model with mechanical behavior of skeletal is achieved as well as future researching method and thinking for preparing model used by surgical planning is provided...
