Clinical Research Of Auricular Acupressure Treatment Of Early Diabetic Nephropathy In Type2Diabetes

Objective：By using the method of auricular-plaster therapy, from the point thechanges of fasting plasma glucose (FPG),2-hour plasma glucose (2hPG) andglycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), urine trace albumin to creatinine ratio (urinemAlb/Cr), blood fat and symptom score of Traditional Chinese Medicine, clinical effectof auricular acupressure therapy on early diabetic nephropathy (DN) in type2diabeteswas observed.We are intended to explore a less expensive treatment that patient is easy toaccept and learn, meanwhile shows small side effects, and to build up a new way for theearly DN patients.Methods：Sixty-two patients who were chosen into this clinical research wererandomly divided into two groups: Cases in control group (31cases) underwent dietcontrol(low salt, low fat, high quality protein diet, high quality protein0.8g/kg.d),physical training and oral antidiabetic agent or subcutaneous insulin injections, in orderto blood sugar control; Cases in treatment group(31cases)were received auricularacupressure treatment with wangbuliuxing seeds on the basis of the control group andacupuncture prescription consists of pancreatic biliary, endocrine, spleen, kidney andbladder. Let the patients press one side of the ear each time, and press the points for oneto two minutes daily before meals, three times per day. The change fresh dressing forauricular points was done every three days for the other side of the ear, a whole treatmentlasts12weeks.Results：1. In each group, there is significant difference compared between before and afterthe treatment in the way of FPG,2hPG and HbA1c (P<0.05), the difference ofcomparison between groups is statistically significant (P <0.05);2. In each group, there is significant difference compared between before and afterthe treatment in the way of urine microalbumin to creatinine ratio decreased obviously(P<0.01), the difference of comparison between groups is statistically significant (P<0.05);3. In each group, there is significant difference compared between before and afterthe treatment in the way of TG and TC were significantly lower (P<0.01), the difference of comparison between groups is statistically significant (P<0.05);4. In each group, there is significant difference compared between before and afterthe treatment at symptom score of Traditional Chinese Medicine (P<0.01), the differenceof comparison between groups is statistically significant (P<0.05).5. Through clinical observation, effect of the treatment group is better than that ofcontrol group (P<0.05).Conclusion：1.Auricular application pressure therapy combining with basic glucose-loweringgroup and basic glucose-lowering group can decrease FPG,2hPG, HbA1c, TG,TC andurine microalbumin to creatinine ratio,but the former can decrease more obviously thanthe latter,and it can regulate sugar metabolism,regulate lipid metabolism,protect thekidney, delay the progression of diabetic nephropathy;2.Auricular application pressure therapy combining with basic glucose-loweringgroup is better than basic glucose-lowering group in improving the patients’ clinicalsymptoms;3.The effect of Auricular application pressure therapy combining with basicglucose-lowering group treatment early DN is better than that of basic glucose-loweringgroup.
