Purpose: To observe “replenishing blood for nourishing heart” acupuncture therapy combined with psychological intervention in treatment of postnatal depression, in order to find a highly effective and safe treatment with no negative effect in clinical treatment.Method: The thesis is based on the characteristics of deficiency of blood and heart of patients with postpartum depression, applied “replenishing blood for nourishing heart”,accompanied by the acupuncture therapy combined with psychological intervention.According to the scientific design, 60 patients were divided into two groups randomly. One group used “replenishing blood for nourishing heart”, accompanied by the acupuncture therapy combined with psychological intervention, the other group was given Modified Xiaoyao Pill for oral administration. By the study of the evaluation and comparison of the two groups, it is proved that the effect of the former treatment is more accurate. In order to obtain the best social and the economic benefit, this treatment should be extended.Psychological intervention: ① Cognitive intervention: by explaining the health knowledge of puerperium and the way to cope with depression and anxiety, the adverse cognition is changed, and then the patients take the correct understanding of their disease. To tell the patients that postpartum depression could be cured completely by rational therapy, so that the patients can establish the confidence of overcome the disease. ②Family intervention:the family members, relatives, especially the husband of the patient should take a considerate care of the patient to establish a cozy atmosphere. The members should take good care of the patient and the baby, meanwhile the members should also manage the housework, so that the patient could feel less stress. The patient whose pathogeny is the gender of her baby should be corrected from the feudal thoughts. The members should help the patient to establish the concept of the equality between men and women, and accept the gender of her baby.“Replenishing blood for nourishing heart” acupuncture therapy: taking the acupoints:XinShu、PiShu、GuanYuan、XueHai、ZuSanLi、SanYinJiao、ShenMen、BaiHui, which are all replenishing blood for nourishing heart acupoints, for acupuncture therapy. The patients have acupuncture therapy once a day, 6 times one day off. Meanwhile,the emotional therapy is taken as psychological intervention, using Ellis’ ABC theory andiatrotechnique, twice a week, 30 to 60 minutes for each time.Result: There were 30 cases in the treatment group, 18 cases were cured, 9 cases had significant effect, 2 cases were improved, 1case had no effect, the total effective rate is 70%.Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy combined with psychological intervention in treatment of postnatal depression can improve and make a significant therapeutic effect on postnatal symptoms such as insomnia, depression and so which are caused by internal secretion and nervous disorder.Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy combined with psychological intervention in treatment of postnatal depression can improve and make a significant therapeutic effect on postnatal symptoms such as insomnia, depression and so which are caused by internal secretion and nervous disorder.
