Objective:. To analyze the characteristics, bacterial culture results, treatment and prognosis in the patients with endophthalmitis by 2 rencent years’ cases reviewing. Methods:A retrospective case series clinical studies. From August 2012 to November 2014,60 eyes of 59 patients with endophthalmitis occurred during hospitalization in the Department of Ophthalmologym, in The first affiliated hospital,Xinjiang medical university, were selected. The patients with endophthalmitis were as the following:endophthalmitis occurred during hospitalization. The infectious of endophthalmitis ratio, causes and composition in patients with traumatic endophthalmitis after population characteristics, pathogen training results, treatment and prognosis were analyzed were analysed. The statistical software SPSS 19.0 were used to analyse the data. P<0.05 as significantly different standards. Results:The causes and the ratio of endophthalmitis were as the following:traumatic endophthalmitis was in 45patients(76.3%); postoperative endophthalmitis was in 9 patients(15.2%); endogenous endophthalmitis induced by differentin causes was in 5 patients(8.5%). The characteristics of traumatic endophthalmitis, the junior middle school and the following culture 28 cases (62.2%),13 cases (28.9%) more than junior high school to college, university or above 4 cases (8.9%).Workers in 23 cases (51.1%),15 cases (33.3%), farmers preschool and students in 5 cases (11.1%), staff in 2 cases (4.4%).The time interval from the symptom appearance of endophthalmitis to the diagnosis of endophthalmitis establishment was as the following: exogenous endophthalmitis was 1-27d(mean was 4.52d); endogenous endophthalmitis was 4-45d(mean was 24.53d), compared by completely random design approximate t-tests(P<0.02), the difference was statistically significant. Among the all 59 patients,59 patients had a aqueous/viscous samples pathogenic bacteria culture.14 of them had a positive result, the positive rate was 6.7%. The cure rate of treatment for endophthalmitis by intravitreal injection combine with intravenous cephalosporin was 88.9% in postoperative endophthalmitis,4.4% in traumatic endophthalmitis, chi square test result display that the cure rate difference was significantly(P<0.05). The post-therapeutic best corrected visual acuity was0.05 or more in 15 eyes.compared that with the BCVA before treatment, the difference was significant. However, there were still 73.2%(41)of patients had a best corected visual acuity less than 0.05,the general prognosis is much poor. Conclusions:Within infectious endophthalmitis, the inner exogenous endophthalmitis higher incidence of ocular trauma which is a major factor. In post-traumatic endophthalmitis, the male prevalence of prevalence than women; in lower construction workers, machinery manufacturing and other education workers and pe asant population incidence. Inflammation of the onset to treatment time-consuming t han the inner exogenous endophthalmitis average time-consuming endogenous eye.E ndophthalmitis specimen culture overall positive rate of 6.7%, lower than the 26.7-63% reported in the literature.Inflammation in patients with vitreous inside the exo genous/aqueous pathogen culture positive rate of less than endougeous. Inflammatio n of the eye to exogenous pathogens in the majority of bacterial infections, includi ng that coagulase-negative cocci. Intravitreal injection drug combination antibiotic tr eatment of postoperative ocular inflammation after trauma patients than in patients with a high success rate of inflammation within the eye. Best corrected visual acui ty after treatment is better than before treatment. But the result is evident, despite good results after treatment before treatment, but there are still 41 cases of 41-corr ected visual acuity of 0.05 or less, accounting for 73.2%, indicating that although t he treatment is effective, but the overall prognosis is poor.
