Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of spectral CT for the discrimination of benign and malignant lung tumors through multi-parameter quantitative analysis. Methods:Patients with lung occupying were scanned with dual-phase spectral CT and pathologically confirmed 59 cases, including 32 cases of malignancy (16 cases were squamous carcinoma, adenocarcinoma in 13 cases, the other 3 cases),27 cases of benign. Through spectral post-processing software, access to arterial and venous phase iodine concentration, water concentration and 40-140keV (in 10keV intervals) of each energy level CT value (HU), and calculate the arterial, venous phase spectrum energy curve under its different energy levels. The independent sample t-test analysis was performed to compare above parameters whether a statistically significant between benign and malignant lung tumors and squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. Results:Arterial and venous phase between benign and malignancy tumor iodine concentration and spectral curve slope and corresponding CT value in different keV differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), while arterial and venous phase water concentration differences between benign and malignancy placeholder with no statistical significance (P>0.05). Arterial phase between squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma iodine concentration and corresponding CT value in different keV differences were statistically significant (P< 0.05), while venous phase there was no statistical significance (P>0.05), arterial and venous phase water concentration and spectral curve slope differences between squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma with no statistical significance (P>0.05). Conclusion: Spectral CT combined with multi-parameter quantitative analysis, with some clinical value in the diagnosis of benign and malignant lung tumors.
