Methods:According to Uighur Pharmacopoeia, identification of the original plant of Nymphaea candida Presl, and describe their properties; It’s powder for microscopic identification, it’s water extract and alcohol extract of the physical and chemical identification.The 6 batches of Nymphaea candida Presl of moisture and ash were determined.Determine the content of total flavonoid and total polyphenol in Nymphaea candida Presl by vis-spectrophotometry. They was studied by infrared spectroscopy andto provide a reference for identification and quality control. Six metallic elements in Nymphaea candida Presl, such as Na, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn Cu were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry, that the Hg and As were determined by Hydride Generation-Atomic Florescence Spectrometry. The contents of Pb and Cd were determined by graphite-furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. The use of LC-MS techniques to analyze four Chemical constituents in Nymphaea candida Presl. Results: The result of systematic preliminary test showed that the Nymphaea candida Presl. may contained polyphenols, flavonoids, saponins etc. Check in formulating moisture was less than 8% Total ashes were less than 14%. Acid-insoluble ashes were less than 5%. The content of gallic acid, methyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate, kaempferol-3-O-Rutinosidethe, quercetin in different habitats Nymphaea candida Presl exists a significant difference. The results ofthe experiment indicated that the contents of the trace elements were rich in Nymphaea candida Presl, among whichare comparatively high natrium, calcium, ironand manganum in Nymphaea candida Presl. The contents of heavy metals in Nymphaea candida Presl with the content standard. Conclusion:This sthdy explored the quality evaluation methods of the different batches of Nymphaea candida Presl. Determination of the content of gallic acid, methyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate, kaempferol-3-O-Rutinosidethe, quercetin from different batches Nymphaea candida Presl,10 kinds of metal element content from different parts of the Nymphaea candida Presl was measured. It offered evidences for quality evaluation of Nymphaea candida Presl.
