| Objective:The purpose of this study is to observe the adjuvant endocrine therapy effects on serum lipids in patients with breast cancer after operation, observing the tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors on the difference of serum lipid. Methods: Retrospective analysis of the second affiliated hospital of Suzhou University in January 2008-January 2013 397 cases of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment of a patient’s medical history information and follow-up data collected in the course, including triglycerides(TG), total cholesterol(TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and other blood lipid index. Estrogen receptor and(or) progesterone receptor, premenopausal women taking tamoxifen(TAM) divided into the TAM group of breast cancer patients, estrogen receptor negative are not endocrine treatment of premenopausal patients in the control group A.Estrogen receptor and(or) progesterone receptor-positive postmenopausal women taking aromatase inhibitors(AIs) into AIs group of breast cancer patients, estrogen receptor negative do not receive endocrine therapy in postmenopausal patients with control group B.Collected groups of patients before treatment and after 3, 6 and 12 months, as well as the annual fasting venous blood lipid indexes until the end of follow-up or observations as of.Results: In postoperative patients with breast cancer before menopause, LDL-C in the TAM group was the lowest after second years, down 6.4% compared with before taking the medicine, the difference was statistically significant.TG,TC, and HDL-C in contrast to the values before you take the medicine was no significant statistical differences. In the post-menopausal group, patients taking AIs drugs, TC significantly increased taking the drug for second years, increased by 8.4% compared with before, the difference was statistically significant. HDL-C decline during the sixth months of medication, medication for second years in LDL-C increased, compared with medication before were statistically significant. TG had no obvious statistical difference. Conclusion: Estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer patients after surgery on TAM,and AIs and other medications for adjuvant endocrine therapy treatment, can cause changes in the levels of lipid metabolism. Especially patients with endocrine treatment for AIs medications, we recommend monitoring the blood lipid level during the period of taking endocrine therapy, lipid-lowering therapy drugs if necessary. |
