The Effect Of Yang Xin Tang On The Serum Ecdothelin-1 In Model Rats With Chronic Heart Failure

Objective:To observe the effect of Yang Xin Decoction on serum endothelin-1 and left ventricular fractional shortening (LVFS) and the pathological changes of cardiac tissue of chronic heart failure rats,so as to investigate the mechanism of Yangxin Decoction in the treatment of chronic heart failure rats.Methods:60 SD rats were randomly chosen in this study,in which 10 rats wasrandomly selected as the control, and the remaining 50 rats were intra-peritoneal injectedwith doxorubicin for the molding. Six weeks later, the successful model rats were randomly divided into three groups and there were 4 rats each group. The rats were given the gavage. The rats in Yang Xin Tang group were made the gavage with 2.34g/kg/d Yang Xin Tang suspension and the rats in Captopril group were given with 2.25mg/kg/d Captopril suspension. The rats in blank control group and model control group were given with 2ml/d distilled water.4 weeks later, cardiac function were measured by ultrasound machine after intra-peritoneal injection of chloral hydrate (3.5ml/kg) for anesthesia.5ml blood was drawn from rat for serum endothelin-1 concentration checking. And myocardium tissue was stained for pathological examination.Results:1. By Comparison to the model group, the ET-1 serum concentration levels were decreased in Yang Xin Decoction group and Captopril group, and the difference was statistically (P<0.05). The difference was not statistically (P>0.05) between Yang Xin Decoction group and Captopril group.2. By comparison to the model group, LVFS were increased in two groups, and the difference was statistically (P<0.05). The difference was not statistically (P>0.05) between Yang Xin Decoction group and Captopril group.3. By Comparison to the model group, both Yang Xin Decoction and Captopril could reduce the pathological damage to cardiac tissue.Conclusion:1.Yang Xin Tang chronic heart failure can reduce seru m levels of ET-1, its role and captopril fairly.2.Yang Xin Tang can im prove LVFS heart failure rats, its role and captopril fairly.3.Yang Xin Tang repair the damaged Myocardialtissue of rats with chronic heart fai lure. Its effect was equal to Captopril group.
